S + A ELOPE

These two lovebirds had a story that was, unfortunately, all too familiar during the height of COVID-19.

They were in a long distance relationship; Anlly in the United States and Soyuz in Ontario, Canada. They would visit regularly, when work and other life commitments permitted them to.

Then the world shut down.

They were forced into a FaceTime and virtual relationship (thank goodness for technology) for a year because of all the restrictions and protocols put in place by these neighbouring countries. They took everything in stride and remained tighter than ever. During this time, they planned their elopement with us…

We remained flexible, and their dates changed a few times… but in February, Anlly was finally able to travel to Canada. She quarantined, as required, and then - to the minute, I’m pretty sure - S&A met up and were reunited after a year-long wait. Two short days in Toronto to pull together some last minute personal items for their Muskoka stay, and then they were in their rental car heading North to the beautiful lakeside cottage we had arranged for them.

February 18th marked their wedding day; it was a perfect combination of sunshine, sparkling white snow, yummy food, laughter and romance. Oh, their one eyed dog JAZZ definitely melted my heart too!
