You asked and we are delivering! Let’s get into the nitty gritty of the who-what-where-when-how-and why of elopements.

Is an elopement right for you? What does an elopement look like with us? Where should you elope in Muskoka? When should you elope in Muskoka? How do you plan for an elopement? Why having a planner by your side, even for an elopement, makes sense.

We understand that everyone, everyone, is different. We love that. We live for that.

There are so many different reasons lovebirds are choosing a more intimate route into marriage - adventure, cost, family, social anxiety, second marriages, travel, etc. To us, we’re just glad to meet you and work with you!

We operate on the philosophy of “you do you”. We can’t say it enough. Your elopement is all about you - the two of you.

You’re welcome to bring 2 witnesses (required by law), or we can handle this from our end - usually myself and the photographer. If you’re looking for something intimate, but would prefer to host a small collection of family and friends, check out our micro wedding package, we’ve got something for you!

WHAT - it’s all about you and the intimate moment you become a married couple.

An elopement for us, isn’t a rushed paperwork ceremony, or a generic day that could be repeated. We want you and your unique partnership to shine through on your special day. Your elopement will be a day that is yours and authentically you. An expression of you and your love for one another.

We have found that our 3 hour package is a sweet spot for epic photography and your sweet ceremony, but this is not to say we can’t cutback OR boost your package to a half day or full day.

WHERE - anywhere can be an elopement spot.

We are based in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario - aka “Cottage County”, “Hamptons of the North”, or simply put, the BEST place on earth ;o)

I am very biased. Having grown up in Muskoka, I’ve had over 30+ years discovering, exploring and collecting photo ready sites that make the most perfect “I do” spots. The Muskoka region boasts beautiful scenery every season of the year and is an incredible setting for Elopements.

We will work with you to find the most ideal location for you, but for now, we’ll leave you dreaming about some fun possibilities…

WHEN - anytime.

The turnaround time from booking-to-elopement is typically shorter than traditional wedding planning; we usually have couples reach out within 3-6 months of their desired wedding date, however; we can book within a year of your elopement. Note: we thrive on short notice requests as well!!

Time of year, holidays, and day of week can have an impact on our availability (mid-week bookings Monday-Thursday are encouraged).

HOW - let us walk you through our process.

Here is a glimpse, from beginning to end, of our planning process, with the understanding - of course - that every experience may be a *little* different in order to cater to individual needs.

The first part is all up to you; but NO stress, it’s really easy… all you need to do is reach out. I suppose if you’re reading this, you are already thinking about connecting... sweeeet, we can’t wait to chat!

We love for our first conversation to be super organic with no agenda; you’re excited to share some stories, and we’re doubly excited to share how we can make all of these dreams become your reality!

With the assumption that we want to work together (obvi!), admin stuff is then handled (snore - contract and deposit), and we hit the ground running!

We have a questionnaire that you can fill out and email back to us, and/or, we schedule a ZOOM / FaceTime meeting to chat about silly innate things that help us get to know you a little bit better. This is best as a collective experience with both of you, and done with “a side of” wine, favourite cocktail, micro brew, coffee…etc. :o)

Date, location, and most often timing, are usually the first details to be nailed down. These distinctions paired with our conversations help us fine tune your day, with as little or as much input from you, as you wish. We advise on the details that will keep your day simple and stress-free while making your elopement look and feel just right for you.

Along the way, we provide the level of support that reflects your needs. We will send you friendly reminders (ie. “You can get your marriage license now”…), updates, suggestions, details, and always happily share in your excitement! We also introduce you to your amazing team (photo, officiant) so there is a layer of rapport and familiarity prior to your “I do’s”.

Week-of, if not sooner, an itinerary and all your special details will arrive in your inbox, wrapped up into one complete package.

On your wedding day, we are your work horse and confidant! We will be there to schlep, wander, set-up, assist, floof, adjust, laugh, cry, and ultimately make sure that you have the BEST time.

WHY - you should hire a planner, and we should all love elopements.

Handing over your to-do list will help to maintain the philosophy of running away, without a care! Sure, you don't want to host a party, but there are so many small details that we pull together to make your day feel special and noteworthy. With all of these subtleties taken care of, you're free to focus on your partner and the intimate moment you become a married couple.

We have been in the wedding industry for a number of years, giving us first hand experience about what works and what doesn’t. Our thirst for creativity, uniqueness and design, paired with our desire to share helpful contacts, tips, tricks, and ideas always promises a good time and a stress-free approach to planning your BIG (yet small) day!
