A Winter Wedding on a Lake | Muskoka, ON

Now this is a trip down memory lane!

There are many many reasons this wedding will be forever etched in my mind. I’m not going to list them off, BUT, I do think it’s important AND part of the plot!

Whoops, I’m already “listing”! ahhhrugm…

#1. This was my first ever true elopement. Planned, styled and executed by yours truly (along with amazing team/crew that helped pull it all off)… more of that to come.

#2. T&D’s inquiry actually started as a styled engagement session, and quickly turned into an elopement after a few short weeks (days) of talking plans and ideas! Yay!

#3. It was January. It was -40 degrees outside…and inside for that matter.

This was a real wedding day with all the feels (when not numb!); a January elopement in Muskoka. It was pure perfection.

As I mentioned, it dates back a few years but it still feels so fresh (maybe I’m still frozen!)… I really can’t even begin to explain what it took to pull this unique wedding day together. Between myself, the florist, the officiant, the photographer & videographer we successfully pulled off two unique wedding ceremonies, two fabulous portrait sessions, and pile of excitement in between.

We went with a rustic, antique, cottage theme. And if cold could be “a theme” we did that too! The day just felt HAPPY. The whole time, smiles and laughter. The way a wedding ought to be.
